SAO VICENTE HILL
Sao Vicente Hill is located within the Alfama district and has a rich history and plenty of cultural landmarks. Alfama, the oldest neighborhood in Lisbon is a collection of maze-like narrow streets and alleys that wind their way up towards Sao Jorge Castle.
Full of history, Alfamas Moorish roots are present in its detailed architecture which includes whitewashed buildings adorned with colorful tiles and wrought iron balconies. The key attractions include:
Alfama District: This is one of the most picturesque neighborhoods in Lisbon. Known for its narrow streets, traditional Fado music, and historic charm, it’s a great place to spend the day.
Lisbon Cathedral: Lisbon’s oldest church includes a mix of architectural styles which include Romanesque, Gothic and Baroque. The interior of the church is intricately designed with wood, gorgeous tiles, and a cloister.
Miraduouros: Miraduouro Portas do Sol and Miradouro Santa Luzia provide breathtaking views of Lisbon out to the Tagus River. The lookouts include gorgeous walkways, terraces, and gardens.
SAO ROQUE HILL
Sao Roque Hill is located within the Bairro Alto and Chiado neighborhoods. Bairro Alto is Lisbon’s bohemian quarter known for its lively nightlife, eclectic shops, and street art.
During the day, the cobbled streets of Bairro Alto are quiet, but by night the entire area comes alive.
Miradouro de Sao Pedro de Alcantara: This scenic terrace provides sweeping views of Lisbon and is an ideal location to watch the sunset.
Street Art: Bairro Alto is known for its colorful street art including murals and graffiti-decorated walls. This is a great area to go for a walk and admire the beautiful art.

Miradouro da Senhora do Monte: This hidden gem offers amazing views of Lisbon with smaller crowds than other lookouts. It’s here that you’ll find a more peaceful spot to admire Lisbon’s beauty.
Portas do Sol Viewpoint: This is quiet a popular location. It features views of Alfama and the Tagus and is the perfect spot for excellent photos.
Taverns and Restaurants: Castelo Hill has many traditional taverns and restaurants that provide an authentic Portuguese culinary experience. You can find delicious seafood, and grilled meats, with Vinho Verde or Douro wine.
SANTO ANDRE HILL
Graca is a nice quiet residential neighborhood with a village-like feel in the eastern part of Lisbon. This area is home to Santo Andre Hill and one of Lisbon’s oldest areas. It offers breathtaking views and many hidden gems. Some of the best parts of Graca are:
Igreja da Graca: This fascinating church has a terrace that provides views of Lisbon and detailed tilework in the Baroque style.
Feira da Ladra: Lisbon’s oldest flea market is the spot to search for antiques, crafts, and other treasures. From vintage clothing to vinyl records, you’re likely to find something of interest in this eclectic market.

TimeOut Market: Situated just a short walk from the hill, this market is a top culinary destination in Lisbon. There are food stalls featuring both Portuguese and international foods.
Miradouro de Santa Catarina: This viewpoint is one of the best panoramic views of the Tagus River and the 25 de Abril Bridge. It’s also a popular spot with both tourists and locals.
