We made the most of having a car during our time in Algarve, as it gave us easy access to some of the region’s most breathtaking spots—like the stunning Marinha Beach, which would have been much harder to reach without our own car.

It left from Carvoeiro and was 90 minutes long which works well with a day trip. With this tour, you’ll take a fast boat along the stunning coast and see cliffs, beaches, natural rock formations, and caves including the stunning Benagil Caves.
Carvoeiro
Returning to Carvoeiro will place you in a charming coastal town. Take time to stroll the streets near the beach as well as the shops. You can get a great view of the beach area by taking a hike up the hill to the east of the beach. The entire area is beautiful.
Carvoeiro Boardwalk/Algar Seco/
Taking a walk on the Carvoeiro Boardwalk will provide you with one of the most stunning views in the Algarve. This seaside boardwalk perched high above the Atlantic Ocean is the ideal place to enjoy the natural beauty of the region.
The boardwalk will bring you to a remarkable rock formation known as Algar Seco. This natural wonder with its captivating cliffs, turquoise water, and stunning rock formations offers a unique experience.
The area is full of natural pools and grottoes which offer an opportunity to go for a quick dip if you want.
Praia Da Marinha
Visit one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. This is an area that is stunning in its natural beauty with its sandstone cliffs bordering the soft golden brown sand beach with its turquoise water.
The beach is quite expansive with plenty of room even on a busy day. There are also nice, clean changing, restroom facilities available.
One of the signature areas of the beach is at the west end of the beach where there is the “M” rock formation that the beach is famous for.
This is one of those places that has to be seen to be believed. It’s an awesome way to spend an afternoon.
