AMAZING PHOTO OPS
Being over 1,000 feet above New York City is already an amazing spot for epic photos, but throw in the mirrored and glass-covered viewing room, and you’ve got endless possibilities to get creative with your shots.
We had a blast during our visit, spending a ton of time capturing the incredible light and reflections. Even though we were taking pictures through glass, they still turned out great, and we were super happy with the results.
The partly sunny day really worked in our favor, giving us the perfect lighting to play with!

During our NYC trip, we got the chance to visit Summit One Vanderbilt, and let me tell you, it exceeded all the hype! We’d heard it was an amazing experience, but that doesn’t even do it justice.
From the elevator ride up to the main viewing area, we were blown away. The views were, of course, breathtaking, but the mix of mirrors and massive windows created a space that was truly one-of-a-kind.
We had a blast snapping photos and soaking in the views.
One of the highlights was definitely the room with the silver reflective balloons—it’s designed for kids, but honestly, it’s a blast for anyone young at heart. It was so much fun! No other observation deck in the city comes close to this experience. We highly recommend checking it out!

Summit One Vanderbilt is perfectly located in the heart of Midtown East, right next to Grand Central Station. If you’re riding the subway, the 4, 5, 6, 7, or S lines will drop you off at Grand Central. From the main concourse, just follow the Vanderbilt Passage to reach One Vanderbilt.
You can also enter directly from the street at 45 East 42nd Street.
